I think I started
loving you in all
the little moments.
Before the confession. Before the anniversary. Back when we were just two people who somehow kept finding reasons to be near each other.
KEEP GOING ↓THE DETAILS I KEPT
You probably
don't know how
much I noticed.
There are things I remember for no special reason. Except, I guess, that they were yours.
Tap through what I still remember
THE LITTLE RED BINDI
That red bindi.
Such a tiny thing, but I noticed it. Of course I noticed it. It was you.
At some point, being around you became my favourite part of an ordinary day.
— me, stillI wish I could
go back to that day.
Not to change anything. Just to be there with you again for a few more minutes.
Mint-chocolate ice cream.
A very ordinary thing that somehow became one of my favourite memories, just because I had it with you.
THE HAT PHOTO. THE RIDES. THE BUS. THE SILLY JOKES. YOU.
03 — THE MOMENT EVERYTHING CHANGED
And then, one night, we finally said what we'd been feeling.
12:07AM
12 OCTOBER 2025
My best friend became my girlfriend.
I still can't believe how lucky I got.
I hate the distance.
I love us more.
There are days I wish I could just turn around and find you next to me. But even when we're far apart, you're still the first person I want to tell everything to.
Until I can actually do this.
We talked about waiting through the distance and having a whole life together after it. I remember that conversation. And I meant what I said.
It's not just the memories
I love. It's everything ahead.
The home we imagined. The completely random conversations about our future. The little things we'll laugh about years from now. I don't know exactly what every day will look like, but I know who I want beside me.
THERE'S ONE MORE THING.
This one's
just for you.
I could have sent you this as a message. But I wanted it to feel like something you could keep.
My suttumani,
One year ago, at 12:07 in the morning, we finally stopped pretending there wasn't something more between us. I don't think you understand just how happy you've made me since then.
I still remember the school version of us. Your braids, your pink socks, that little red bindi, the homework, the hair-pulling and our silly fights. The hugs we stole when nobody was really looking. I remember the trip, the mint-chocolate ice cream, the hat picture, the rides and that bus ride. The funny thing is, I didn't need anything extraordinary to happen. I just needed you to be there.
I know long-distance isn't always easy. Sometimes I wish I could be there for the small, boring parts of your day too. But the distance has never made me unsure about you. If anything, it has shown me how much I want the ordinary days with you, not just the special ones.
I don't want us to have a perfect love story. I want us to have a real one. One where we're still best friends, where we annoy each other, laugh at stupid things, work through the hard days and keep coming back to each other.
Thank you for being my best friend before you became my girlfriend. And thank you for being both, even now.
Happy first anniversary, baby. I love you so much.
Yours, always. ♡
ONE YEAR DOWN. EVERYTHING ELSE TO GO.
Happy anniversary,
suttumani.
If I had to do all of this again, I'd still find my way to you.
I love you, Varsha.
Today, tomorrow, and on the perfectly ordinary Tuesdays too.12.10.2025 — FOREVER A PART OF MY STORY
